Design Vision

Designed by the award-winning WOW Architects from Singapore, the property stands out for its architecture inspired by the island’s own ecology. Every zone reflects a distinct part of the atoll’s natural character. From manta-shaped overwater villas in the Lagoon Zone to Dhoni-inspired coastal family villas and beach villas rooted in traditional Maldivian design. This approach not only creates a memorable visual identity but also positions Vommuli as one of the most architecturally celebrated resorts in the Maldives.

The design language of the resort has embraced various experiences of the island.

The Lagoon Zone

Overwater villas, the Whale Bar, and the spa draw inspiration from manta rays, whale sharks, and crustaceans. This zone highlights the resort’s nature-led, sustainable design approach.

The Beach Zone

Set on cool coral sand, the villas take cues from an old fisherman’s hut once found on the island. It blends Maldivian heritage with modern beachfront luxury.

The Jungle Zone

Garden villas sit within preserved native vegetation, keeping the island’s dense greenery intact. Vommuli House, inspired by a banyan tree, anchors family activities and wellness.

The Coastal Zone

These dhoni-shaped villas sit where the island meets the reef, perched over rock and water. Sail-like roofs and wide verandahs frame some of the island’s most dramatic views.

Property & Living Experience

The resort holds 77 accommodations: 44 overwater villas | 33 beach and garden villas

It has three en-suite bedrooms with outdoor showers and a 92 sq. m. infinity pool plus two plunge pools, along with a dedicated cinema room, private gym, spa treatment room, and a sand-lined terrace.
